Normie progressive politics

Normie progressives are genuine progressives that are turned off by some of the countercultural vibes of the far left. They don’t think the uber rich should buy elections or have low taxes. They want a world with much less inequality and injustice, a world with serious action on climate change, mental health, and care for children and elderly. These people have no interest in burning anything down, but are willing to make sacrifices to build a bigger, better future for everyone.

But they don’t talk like they are sitting in a literary criticism graduate seminar.

Basically, they are my neighbors.
