Video: It's Worse Than Most of Us Think

This short video does a fantastic job of showcasing:

1. How Americans from all political backgrounds *think wealth should be* distributed

2. How Americans from all political backgrounds *think wealth is* distributed

3. How wealth *is actually* distributed in America

I hope you are sitting down.

Now, this video is a bit out of date.

Under the Biden administration, income inequality has narrowed because lower wage workers saw bigger pay increases. And at least right after the stimulus, the wealth gap probably eased just a bit, because poorer families finally had a little pocket change.

But I have not seen data that suggest that there have been any major or structural changes to wealth inequality.
