Trump's Project 2025 Attacks Urbanism Too
Autocracy and Attacks on Basic Rights Are Worse, But This Part Sucks Too
More Reasons Project 2025 Is Terrible
If you haven’t heard by now, project 2025 is the MAGA movement’s blueprint for the Trump Administration, written by many of Trump’s former staffers, loyalists who will almost certainly run his administration if he wins.
It’s a horrifying document, a frontal assault on the basic rights of millions of Americans and direct plan to turn us into an abusive autocracy.
I will write about the worst parts another day—but since those are currently being covered, I was glad to discover that Ray Delhanty, the man behind CityNerd, produced a video breaking down the elements of Project 2025 that touch classically urbanist issues like housing and transit.
While these items are nowhere near the worst part of Trump’s plan, they are still straightforwardly terrible policy-an ideologically driven assault on our climate, air quality, transportation safety, public transit and on any functioning city.
Please make sure your urbanist friends see this.
